OUR STORY - THE BEGINNING 2019

Recovery Was Personal Before It Was a Business

ADAPT wasn’t created in a boardroom.

It started after years of sports, injuries, surgeries and the mental battle that comes when your body no longer performs the way it once did.

As a former collegiate athlete, our founder Richard Harrington experienced firsthand how difficult recovery can become — especially when the standard solutions often involve stimulants, dependency or temporary fixes instead of long-term wellness.

What started as a personal search for better recovery eventually became Adapt.

Not just another sports drink.

Not another wellness trend.

A brand built around helping people perform, recover and live better every day.

THE FIRST EVOLUTION

We Challenged What Sports Recovery Could Look Like

Adapt launched in 2019 with a mission to create functional recovery products for athletes.

At the time, the sports nutrition world was dominated by artificial ingredients, sugar-loaded drinks and outdated recovery systems.

Adapt took a different path.

On April 20, 2022 the brand became the first CBD-infused sports recovery beverages in the world and the first CBD beverage to achieve NSF Certified for Sport certification — setting a new standard for transparency and athlete trust.

Professional athletes, trainers and teams quickly embraced the product for recovery and hydration support.

But as the industry evolved, so did we.

As regulations around CBD products slowed mainstream adoption, we faced a choice:

or evolve into something bigger.

We chose evolution.

Over the last several years, Adapt completely rebuilt the brand from the ground up — reformulating products, simplifying ingredients, redesigning packaging and focusing on what mattered most:

Why did you start Adapt?

Locker Rooms have long been filled with sugary and synthetic hydration & recovery options for athletes, and “Dr. prescribed” opioids have long been offered, or forced upon top-level athletes, sometimes against their better judgement.

I want athletes to know there is better options available.
